ASA Foundation transforms vulnerable beneficiaries with and without disabilities through a combination of digital and traditional Training of Trainer (ToT) Master Training and Youth Development (YD) program intervention methodologies that focus on key education pillars such as Health, Hygiene Awareness & COVID-19 Prevention, Peace, Tolerance & Conflict Resolution, Building Resiliency, Gender Equality & Women Empowerment, Circular Economy & Waste Management, HIV AIDS Awareness, Life Skills & Community Capacity Building, Disaster Risk Reduction, Financial Literacy & Numeracy, STEM and Inclusive activities. The digital online learning platforms compliment the ToT and YD workshops that are implemented through participatory learning classroom seminars combined with outdoor practical sports-based empowerment activities. With a key focus on gender equality, diversity and inclusion, the programs aim to build the capacity of local adult teacher and community member groups to become ASA Foundation Master Trainers with the ability to deliver ASA Foundation education program activities that empower male and female youth beneficiaries on a long-term sustainable basis.

ASA Foundation conducts extensive, weekly, on-site, Mentoring together with Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities that involves cross-sectional classroom theory (baseline/ pre, mid and end) testing combined with longitudinal observational studies, programming footage analysis, surveys and video-based interview feedback that measures project outputs such as student and teacher attitudes, behaviours, feelings, beliefs and knowledge. ASA Foundation uses M&E indicators, such as Behaviour Change Self-viewing and Others’ viewing, that are approved by international donors and NGOs.

Post-Project Sustainability Strategy

As part of overall project sustainability strategies and leaving legacies in target areas, ASA Foundation continues conducting non-funded mentoring combined with M&E activities beyond program completion dates by setting up long-term WhatsApp, Line and Facebook tracking forums, regular Zoom meeting calls and periodic site visits.

Furthermore, ASA Foundation provides additional development and livelihood opportunities through the recruitment, training and employment of talented adult beneficiaries to become ASA Foundation Master Trainers for future projects together with the selection of youth, teachers and community members enrolled in overseas scholarship programs supported by partners such as the British Embassy, British Council, PFSA and the U.S. Embassy.
